Farewell to Rachel Compton Party – October 2008
Rachel Compton left our team at the end of October and moved up to Glasgow to be closer to family and friends. On behalf of the whole team at ITRM we would like to wish Rachel all the very best for the future and we are going to dearly miss her laughter and her never-ending cheerfulness. We would like to thank her for all her love and support in the last two years and we hope that she will come to visit soon.
On her last day we all went out to the Doncaster Superbowl for a couple of fantastically hilarious games, as it was Halloween and the turned the lights out and we played with fluorescent bowls!

A FOND FAREWELL TO SHARON OTTER
We are very sad to bid farewell to our beloved Sharon. As you may know, Sharon has had a few difficult months due to her daughter Sara’s health concerns, whilst Sara continues to make a good recovery; they wish to take some time out to be with each other.
We wish her all the best and would like to thank her for all the wonderful hours of laughter she has given us in the last 18 months, and we wish her all the very best life has to offer.
It inevitably means that we will be recruiting again soon, but as we are getting busier and require more cover, we will be looking for a full time member of staff to join Jayne Temperton, who will continue working wonders part time as we are all accustomed to.
Go to our Vacancies page for further details.
CONGRATULATIONS VICKY BROOKS!
We wish the very best to Vicky Brooks in her new life as Mrs Tighe! Vicky and Paddy were married on Saturday 28th of June in their beautiful home country of Wales and we were all invited to what we all have agreed was one of the best weddings we’ve been too! They are currently enjoying their honeymoon in Barbados, and she’ll be back to work on Friday 18th July.
Stay tuned for some piccies coming soon.
As you can see ITRM is having a great time going into our community and taking the Straighten Up UK program to many conferences in the South Yorkshire area, so Frank was once again out and about becoming a very fast rising star amongst the Health & Safety crowd raising awareness about the important role that ergonomics play in preventing musculoskeletal disorders.
We had a great time and from that conference we were invited to attend the South Yorkshire Occupational Health Seminar the following month.

ITRM Chiropractic Clinic was invited by Gymophobics in Doncaster on Tuesday 5th February 2008 to do a presentation about Chiropractic Care for Women. Our Chiropractors Vicky Brooks and Rachel Compton went along and met with the staff of gymophobics along with a few of their clients and talked about conditions that affect women of all ages and how chiropractic care can help. Some of the subjects were: Period Pain, PMT (Pre Menstrual Tension), Pregnancy Pain, Infertility, Arthritis and Osteoporosis.

Lighten the Load – 22nd – 26th October 2007
This year’s European Week campaign ‘Lighten the Load’ is dedicated to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The aim of the campaign is to support employers, workers, safety representatives and other stakeholders in improving MSD prevention. Read more on the HSE Website
.
MSDs are the most common form of ill-health disorders at work, both in the UK and across Europe. Work-related MSDs affect 1.0 million people in Great Britain alone each year. Problems include back pain, work-related neck and upper limb disorders (ULDs), including repetitive strain injuries, and lower limb disorders. Raising awareness, prevention and management are all key factors in reducing MSDs.
For further extensive information on MSDs, as well as tools, case studies, and advice to workers and employers, visit the dedicated MSD webpages
on the HSE website..
If you would like ITRM to provide further information, treatment or training, please get in touch and one of the Chiropractors will be pleased to discuss your requirements.

During this year's promotion we saw over 30 of your loved ones. Thank you to all that gave their loved ones the gift of good health and pain free life.
Two out of five adults will experience back pain sometime in the next 12 months, and it costs the UK £6 billion each year in benefits, treatments and lost production. In the past, the prescribed treatment was bed and lots of rest. These days it's recommended that sufferers keep as active as possible - without overdoing things.
At this year’s National Back Care Week (Monday 16 October to Friday 21st October 2006) ITRM Chiropractic Clinic Limited offered half price consultations to help with the initial cost of taking care of one’s spine. This proved to be a very successful promotion of chiropractic in our community, allowing 15 new patients to join our clinic and to move one step forward towards good health and a pain free life. We would like to thank our patients for their continued support in helping us educate our community about how chiropractic can help them to get rid of their pain and improve their lives, by referring their friends and loved ones to our clinic
In Association with

Saturday 2nd September 2006 saw ITRM’s first anniversary celebrations.
As tends to happen when you plan a big outdoor extravaganza, the weather forecast wasn’t favourable and the two beautiful gazebos that had been set up for the occasion went up in the air!

Despite the weather, the team defied adversity with a lot of laughter
and decided to bring the party inside:
We had a cake shop (homemade by Sharon)

We had a Raffle Prizes station
A wonderful beautician, Jenny, for our Beauty Parlour

A wonderful face painter, Tor
And even, a burger van outside!

But most importantly we had lots of our wonderful patients who turned up and had tons of fun!
Yara with The Taylors
Vicky Brooks and Sharon’s daughter Sara, who helped with the event.

Children loved the face painting

... And so did the adults!
One of the most successful events was our Charity Auction which saw £70 being raised for the winners to shave Aidan Robinson’s head!!
A group of Robinson’s Martial Arts students pitched in £10 each to make sure they got the privilege or revenge on their teacher!
For our special Raffle we had a very special guest Mr Charles Swallow from Doncaster Rovers F.C. He gave a very kind speech highlighting the wonderful liaison between ITRM Chiropractic Clinic and Doncaster Rovers F.C. and we are very proud to have had them as one of our sponsors. Mr Swallow was kind enough to hand out the Raffle Prices.
All in all, it was a very fun and successful day, and at the end of the day, the ITRM team and all the attendees raised a total of £763.74 in the name of our chosen charity the Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (ASBAH).
More photos coming soon!
Since the event, there have been a lot more donations raising this number to an even £800!!
THANK YOU TO ALL THE SPONSORS AND ALSO TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HELPED MAKE THIS EVENT A VERY MEMORABLE ONE
SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!!

All proceeds from this event will go to ASBAH

Balloon race on Sports Day at Cowick C.E. Primary School
The end of Sports Day at Cowick C.E. Primary School was spectacularly marked by the launch of 391 balloons in a race to see whose ticket travels the furthest. The owner of the card returned from the furthest point will receive a prize of £50 Argos vouchers.
Head Teacher, Tracey Hawkyard, said “It was wonderful to see that many balloons launched & it will be interesting to see how far they travel".
The balloon race raised £437 for school funds, including sponsorship of the race by I.T.R.M. Chiropractic Clinic in Doncaster.
