There are 3 main reasons:
We don't mind how you found out about us, but now that you have, why not give us a call on 01302 760350 and make an appointment for an assessment - you could feel a vast improvement in your condition sooner that you think.
Please don't hesitate to ask for further information.
Chiropractic is a type of non-invasive healthcare enjoyed by millions of
people around the world.
Rather than relying on drugs or invasive surgery Chiropractors aim to establish the root cause of the patients’ symptoms and to relieve and then keep them away through hands on treatments.
Chiropractic is an art as well as a science so there are many ways that different Chiropractors use to help their patients.
At this clinic we aim to provide the best treatment for each patient so techniques are varied.
All Chiropractors working at this clinic are Registered with the GCC, the BCA and the CPA
For more information please check other areas of this website.
Chiropractic care is suitable for everyone from 4 hours old to all ages and sizes, from all walks of life.
These are the more common problems that respond favourably to Chiropractic care, although this is certainly not a complete list:
On your first visit you will be made welcome and have a seat in our comfortable
waiting area where hot and cold drinks will be provided.
At this time you will be given a patient questionnaire to complete and some forms to sign, helping us to keep up to date records and apply for your medical records etc.
The Chiropractor will then take you into a private treatment room for your
initial assessment - this appointment usually lasts up to 45 mins, and much
of this time will be spent
completing your history, including family history, diet and work and lifestyle-related
factors and
talking to you about the injury and events leading
up to it so that the correct treatment plan can be devised.
Next, the Chiropractor will carry out a physical examination, focusing
on muscle strength and postural and structural problems.
Your chiropractor will then need to collate all the test results, formulate a diagnosis, and put a treatment plan together. You will then receive your 'report of findings' and first treatment at your next appointment.
Following any 'adjustment' your body's own healing processes will be able to get on with the task of improving your health.
We will always explain as much as we can about the injury and treatment plan in simple terms using models where appropriate. We find that it helps for you to have an idea of what is happening inside your body as the treatment and recovery progresses.
You will leave the treatment room with a clear understanding of your situation, plus your 'homework' - this could include for example instructions to rest, ice, stretch, exercise, etc. all of which are clearly explained to you before you leave. This 'homework' is an important part of your treatment and will help to speed your recovery.
How many treatments will be necessary?
This will vary from depending on the individual, the problem, the length of time you have had the complaint and your own commitment to your recovery by continuing any rehabilitative exercises and maintenance visits that your chiropractor may recommend.
